Gasoline Price Drop Approved For August
The cost of gasoline is going down in the coming weeks following the approval of a price drop on Thursday by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep).
By the middle of August, the price of a litre of super gasoline will drop ¢17 colones, regular ¢1 (not a misprint) and diesel ¢12 colones.
Once the price drop takes effect, the price of a litre of super will drop from the current ¢604 to ¢587, regular from ¢562 to ¢561 and diesel from ¢496 to ¢484.
The price change is based on the changes in the price of crude oil on international markets and the dollar exchange.
